Richard Harris on Parkinson in 1973 Part 1
Loved him as king arthur❤
Richard Harris puts me in a trance and I cant stop watching him....Loving him.❤
Oh, Richard....just keep making me fall in love with you over and over again. And I do so gladly.💋.
Saw him live in Camelot what a treat
14:20 and he'll never have that recipe again.
He was 43 at the time, if i look at the 43 year old actors of today's time, being on talk shows, most of them are dull and boring and talk the same boring nonsense, no character, no wit, no charm, times have really changed
A famous alcoholic. How easily celebrities elicit praise.
Fun fact: Richard originally played Dumbledore in the first Harry Potter film before the great Michael Gambon accepted the part three entries later.
Harris openly supported the IRA.
Parkinson! Was a member of "The Herman's Hermits" British Rock Band!!! In the 60's 😮😢
The young Prof. Dumbledore. 🙏❤️
Such a humble man, capable of laughing at himself and the world. A great human being, singer, actor and raconteur. Reminds me very much of Michael Caine who also has the same characteristics!
"Isn't he marvelous!" 😂
Richard's poetry was so touching 😢 brought tears to my eyes. Love from Australia Richard. I loved you you beautiful man.
"i know as sure as hell Shakespeare never said ah ah ah"😅😅😅😅
He was hillarious - I didnt know Brando read his lines as he was filming😂😂😂😂
man he is so drunk.
Our Greenhouse has every Pane smashed through the vulgarity of the World Wide Web!
I think a man called horse is his best film
Never get between a dad and a dancefloor 😂😂 go on lad
Wow what a sweet voice!
Parky was the last great interviewer... Just kept people stimulated, kept them talking (instead of plugging himself). Not that with Richard Harris that was necessary. Dat man definitely kissed the Blarney Stone. What a wonderful, precious interview. How many of the great "English actors" have been Irish, or Scottish, or Welsh? Far more than any Eng bigot would dare to even contemplate. Me? I celebrate this so much... Just listen to Harris. Remember the first Dumbledore, if nothing else. Gentle, wise, but with that tiny bit of naughty in him... O'Toole, Ganbon (oh, another Dumbledore!)....all immense actors, all Irish. I could go on and on, but I think I've made a few telling points. No, I'm from England, just in case you were wondering. 😂
Parkinson was a terrible interviewer.
Peter O'Toole was from England.
😂saw him in London in Camelot, he was mesmerising, sadly missed❤🎉
Loved the show with Michael Parkinson these are the actors like Dickie Harris and Peter O' Toole and Richard Burton and Sean Connery you could understand great Theater Training every word is pronounced and project their voices so back of Theater could hear. Today with some very hard to understand and speak too fast. God Bless the ones we have lost the good old days. John Wayne Maureen O'Hara Laurence Olivier Sinead Cusack Barry Fitzgerald l could go on but we all knew them now today l put Daniel Day Lewis Russell Crowe Pierce Brosnan others a few to mention. Good training 😊❤❤🎉 SLAINTE MAITH GO LEIR ❤ GAIBH RAIBH MAITH AGAT
I was born and raised in LIMERICK Ireland where Richard Harris and his family were born and raised. My parents had great stories of him especially my Mum she sang in Opera with his older brother the Cecilans. I remember his Dad a d Mum had a grocery store old Mr. Harris go shopping for my grandparents Frank and Elizabeth O' Brien. Great times in LIMERICK. My Mum would tell us stories of Dickie as known in LIMERICK told to leave the Savoy Theater as talking to the films while people trying to watch. Great character. I remember his parents store do well. Old Mr. Harris call his Dad. The good old days.
Wow...his voice .!!
Wow...a poet...did not realise he was so talented..
Love his imaginative mind..
He is really very patriotic...
He was a wild Irish man....husky and poetical...sensitive and emotional..thats why he was a good actor...lovel Camelot...😊
Richard Harris mentioned ’A Man Called Horse’. I enjoyed it and the sequel.
God, I miss proper stars.
Captain charisma.
There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said before the only thing I will say so sad we lost him.
Richard was always a Great Story Teller, Great Actor, Great Drinker, he was Passionate about everything he was. He`s one of the People i`d Love to drink Beer with and just sit and Listen to him talk. Wow.
Funny how journalists used to write that he let on that he came from a lot poverty but in fact would talk about the money in his family, he was the only Irish man they found that actually came from a little money at the time and they had to rip him over, he clearly admits it here he came from a background with some money. Trying to show the world how well the Irish were doing when in fact the poverty in Ireland when Richard was growing up was horrific.
What a fantastic talent
This side of harris , is incredible. What a talented man
They don't build them like this anymore
I found this man in the 70’s with “Camelot” and I bo’t ever album he did after…I’m glad I did
Richard is so captivating. Such a natural raconteur and big personality. He is dearly missed.
Fantastic
THE REAL DEAL, LEGEND ☘
A character who probably wouldn’t be such a success today because of the ‘woke’ limpets who attach themselves to the media nowadays. A talk show like Parkinson wouldn’t work today simply because there are no characters around remotely like Harris!
And today the BBC’s most watched program is ‘strictly come dancing’………what happened?
TV is obsolete now, like printed news.

Michael Parkinson and Richard Harris RIP 🙏🏻
There was something about Harris I could never buy into.
Bless 'im. Both gone now. How sad.
What an amazing man, I had forgotten how talented he was.
